I received a Masters Degree in Counseling Psychology and a Post Graduate Degree in Art Therapy from Adler School of Professional Psychology. I spent several years practicing therapy/counseling at the Rudolph and Sadie T. Dreikurs Psychological Center at the Adler School where I received outstanding clinical experience and extensive supervision.
In 2001 I founded Art Therapy Connection (ATC), a not for profit organization that provides an art therapy program to service inner-city youth who are at-risk of failure within the Chicago Public School System. ATC offers intervention for students during the school day who are experiencing difficulty at school due to personal crisis, neglect, abuse, poverty, violence, alcohol/drugs, poor peer relationships, disabilities and negative behavior.
After 12 years of managing Art Therapy Connection I passed the organization over to new and energetic art therapists. I remain a consultant and a member of the Board.
During those 12 years creating and running ATC, I also built a private practice at The Family Institute at Northwestern University. I am now entirely on my own and have a thriving full-time private practice seeing clients Tuesdays through Saturdays.
I have recently completed an Externship in Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples and have received a Certificate in Divorce Mediation from Northwestern University.
